A delicious recipe for plum cake with cream:
What we will need:
Dough:
- 300 g semi-coarse flour
- 150 g butter
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 bag of baking powder
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tbsp cream
- a pinch of salt
Filling:
- 3 egg yolks
- 5 egg whites
- 1 bag of custard
- 500 ml sour cream
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 kg plums
- cinnamon
- 5 tablespoons semolina
How we will proceed:
1) Start with the dough. Start by mixing together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and also the butter to spread in it. Add the egg yolks with the sour cream and knead.
2) Roll out the dough to about half an inch thick and place on a baking sheet that you have lined with baking paper. Then sprinkle the dough with 2 tablespoons of semolina and arrange the plums cut in half (without the pips). Sprinkle with cinnamon and 3 tablespoons semolina.
3) Continue with the filling. Beat the egg whites with the sugar until smooth. In a second bowl, mix the egg yolks and the cooked custard. Stir the mixture and add the sour cream. Finally, mix the two mixtures together.
4) Pour the mixture you have created over the plums and smooth it out. Bake at 170-180 degrees for about 30-35 minutes.
