Wraps with sauerkraut and bacon
What we will need:
- 1 packet chilled puff pastry (275 g)
- 300 g sauerkraut
- 200 g bacon
- 2 medium onions
- 1 pcs capers
- 1 egg for spreading
- salt, ground black pepper, marjoram, whole cumin
How we will proceed:
1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
2. In a large pot, finally fry the chopped bacon.
3. When the bacon has released its fat and is almost crispy, add the finely chopped onion and fry it until golden brown.
4. Then add the diced capers and fry for a minute.
5. Finally, add the drained cabbage, about half a litre of water and cook briefly, covered, for 5-7 minutes.
6. Roll out a sheet of puff pastry. When the cabbage has cooled, spread it evenly over the pastry and sprinkle with a little fragrant marjoram.
7. Roll out the pastry lengthways and transfer to a baking tray lined with baking paper (or use the paper provided in the pastry packet).
8. Brush the roll with beaten egg, sprinkle with caraway seeds and bake until golden brown – about 20 minutes. Done!
