This recipe comes in handy whenever a visitor is around the corner and you have no dessert ready. Step by step we present you a great recipe for a delicious cake with apples and mascarpone. If you like to eat sweet things and are a passionate cook or a cook, you will be delighted with this novelty.
Cake with apples and mascarpone:
What we will need:
Baking tray 24 × 24 cm
- 1 large packet of biscuits
- 1 kg apples
- 2 orange jellies
- 250 g mascarpone
- 200 g chocolate (my favourite)
- 330 ml 30% cream
- 2,5 teaspoons gelatine (optional)
How we will proceed:
1. Peel the apples, cut into smaller pieces and fry in a pan with a little water. Add the 2 jellies to the cooking apples and mix thoroughly. Remove and let cool.
2. Crumble the chocolate and melt in a saucepan over a low heat – be careful not to burn. Remove and allow to cool.
3. Line the bottom of a baking tray with baking paper and stack the biscuits on top.
4. Spread the apple mixture over the biscuits.
5. Briefly whisk in the mascarpone, then add the cooled melted chocolate and stir. Spoon the cream over the apples. (Alternatively, you can place the biscuits on top of the apple mixture and then the chocolate cream). Place the dough in the refrigerator,
6. Whip the cream until stiff, then you can add the cooled gelatine (dissolved in 100 ml boiling water) to make a stiff dough.
7. Remove the cake from the fridge, brush with chocolate cream and put back in the fridge – preferably overnight.
