Apple rolls
What we will need:
Dough:
- 500 g plain flour
- 15 g yeast
- 80 g butter
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 300 ml milk
- 100 g sugar
- a pinch of salt
filling:
- 4 apples
- 150 g sugar
- 5 g cinnamon
- 1 egg white
- 5 ml milk
How we will proceed:
1. Start by mixing the milk, sugar, yeast and salt. Mix and let rest for 15 minutes.
2. Add the egg, egg yolk, flour and butter.


3. Make a nice smooth dough.
4. Let rise under a towel for 40 minutes.
5. Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Start cooking the grated apples, sugar and cinnamon over a low heat.
6. Spread the cooled apple mixture over the rolled out dough.
7. Cut individual strips.
8. Start rolling and forming individual rolls (snails).
9. Place on a baking sheet and brush with egg white mixed with milk.
10. Bake at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.
