For a delicious dessert, try today’s chocolate cake recipe. It’s a simple recipe made with commonly available ingredients and the result is a beautiful mousse-cream dessert that will delight your palate. You can flavour it with chocolate or fruit.
Recipe for chocolate cake with whipped cream:
What we will need:
- 1 egg
- 250 g sugar
- 200 g soft butter/margarine
- 5,5 dcl milk
- 6-8 tablespoons cocoa
- 250 g plain flour + 3 tbsp plain flour
- 1 packet (12 g) baking powder
- 3 egg yolks
- 150 g icing sugar
- 2-3 tablespoons of rum
- 3 dcl whipping cream
- 1-2 thickeners (10 g packets)
How we will proceed:
1. Mix the dough with all the ingredients: mix the flour with the baking powder, cocoa, add the whole eggs, milk, sugar, butter and mix well.
2. Line a baking tray with baking paper (approx. 23 x 38 cm) and bake the dough for 20 to 25 minutes at 180 °C.
3. Remove the baked dough from the baking sheet onto a floured surface and cut in half when cool.
4. Dissolve the flour in a little milk.
5. Heat the remaining milk and slowly add it to the flour mixture, then cook over a low heat until the mixture has thickened completely.
6. Remove from the heat and allow to cool completely.
7. Mix the melted butter with the sugar, cocoa, rum and egg yolks.
8. Combine the flour mixture with the cocoa mixture and mix well.
9. Brush the bottom of the pastry with two-thirds of the cream and place the other part on top.
10. Spread the rest of the cream on top.
11. Finally, sprinkle with grated chocolate and chill in the fridge until firm.
