Creamy-coconut strudel
What we will need:
Dough:
- 250 ml milk
- 100 g sugar
- 100 g melted butter
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 500 g plain flour
- 1 cube of yeast
filling:
- 250 ml cream
- bag of coconut
- teaspoon cocoa
- sugar (by eye)
How we will proceed:
1. Start by making a sourdough starter with yeast, lukewarm milk and a tablespoon of sugar. Add the rest of the ingredients for the dough. Make a nice dough, then let it rise for 40 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Heat the cream and add the coconut, a teaspoon of cocoa and the sugar. Mix thoroughly and let rest for a while.
3. Once the dough has risen, roll it out and divide it into 3 parts, which we spread with our filling and wrap into a wrap.
4. Let it rest like this for 15 minutes. Then place in the oven and bake at 170 degrees until golden brown. After baking, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.
