A delicious recipe for two-tone chocolate filled buns:
What we will need:
- 630 g plain flour
- 7 g yeast
- 300 ml milk
- 60 g sugar
- a pinch of salt
- 2 eggs
- 60 g melted butter
- 50 g cocoa
- soft butter 50 g
- dark chocolate
- sugar syrup for spreading
How we will proceed:
1. Start by mixing the milk, sugar and yeast.
2. Add the eggs and melted butter. Mix thoroughly.
3. Next, add the flour and baking powder.
4. Make a nice smooth dough and divide it into 2 halves.
5. Mix the first part of the batter with the cocoa.
6. Let the plain dough and cocoa dough rest under food wrap for 60 minutes.
7. After the time has passed, roll out the cocoa dough on a floured rolling pin.
8. Divide into 8 equal rectangles. Then cut small strips on them and spread them with softened butter.
9. Roll out the plain dough and also cut into 8 equal pieces.
10. Place a rectangle of plain dough on top of the cocoa rectangle.
11. Place a few pieces of dark chocolate on top of the dough and start rolling.
12. Place on a baking sheet and let rest under a towel for 20 minutes. Then brush with egg wash.
13. Bake at 180 degrees for about 30 minutes. After baking and cooling, brush with sugar syrup.
