What we will need:
For the dough:
- 6 eggs
- 100 g sugar
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 50 ml oil
- 1-2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 cup of plain flour
For the cream:
- 600 ml milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 100 g sugar
- 20 g of plain flour
- 50 g starch
- 3 tablespoons of cappuccino
- 200 g butter
- pinch of salt
- Chocolate chips (above)
How we will proceed:
1. Mix the eggs with the sugar and honey. Add the flour with the cocoa powder and baking powder. Mix thoroughly and then pour in the oil. Divide the dough into three parts. Bake each slice separately on a lined baking sheet at 180 °C for 40 minutes.
2. For the cream, combine the egg yolks with the sugar and salt and mix until smooth. Add the flour and starch. Dissolve the cappuccino in the milk and then bring to the boil. Add the egg yolk mixture and stir over low heat until thickened.
3. Let the cream cool and then mix it with the butter until it reaches a fluffy consistency.
4. Brush the first part of the cake with 1/3 of the cream. Place the second piece of cake and another piece of cream. Place the last slice and the rest of the cream.
5. Sprinkle with chocolate chips or drizzle with melted chocolate.
