Recipe for a delicious swirled poppy seed cake with fudge:

What we will need:

Dough:

  • 400g plain flour
  • Pinch of salt, vanilla sugar
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2dl milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 70g melted butter
  • Dried yeast ( bag)
  • Orange zest

Filling:

  • 140g ground poppy seeds, a little milk
  • 40g sugar
  • Cinnamon, rum
  • 20g plum jam

How we will proceed:

1. Let the dough rise and then roll it out into a large sheet and spread it with the poppy seed filling.

2. Roll up and cut lengthwise with a knife.

3. Wrap the two pieces together and then just twist into a wreath.

4. Bake in a 175° oven for about half an hour.
