Today we present you a homemade tangerine mug cake with cherries, which is perfect for a visit or just an evening in front of the TV. The advantage of this fabulous recipe, is that you can practically customize it to your own fancy, so you can use the fruit to your liking.

You can add anything, e.g. nuts, almonds, chocolate. It’s up to you. You have to love this fabulous cake after the first taste. Yummy!

Tangerine mug cake with cherries

  • 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
  • 1 cup sparkling mineral water
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • 4 cups semi-coarse flour
  • 1 baking powder
  • 4 mandarin oranges
  • 200 g cherries
  • Mix oil with mineral water, add eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar and baking powder.
  • Mix well, add the sifted flour and mix until smooth.
  • Prepare a baking tray which you grease with butter and dust with coarse flour.
  • Wash and pit the cherries.
  • Cut the mandarins into marigolds.
  • Pour the batter onto the baking tray, place the mandarins on top of the batter and the pitted cherries on top.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 45 minutes.
  • After baking, let the cake cool in the tin and sprinkle with icing sugar before serving.
