Fried zucchini balls:
What we will need:
quantity for about 35 balls
- zucchini
- 1 carrot
- 1 smaller onion
- 150 g plain flour
- 250 ml water
- 4 eggs
- 50 g butter
- 5 g salt
- 10 g baking powder
How we will proceed:
1) Start by simply preparing all the vegetables and washing them thoroughly.
2) In one bowl, grate your zucchini, carrots and onions. Season with salt and let rest.
3) In the meantime, prepare the dough. In a saucepan, mix together the water, butter and salt.
4) Bring to a boil and add sifted flour with baking powder. Stir and remove from heat.
5) Make a nice uniform mass and let it cool.
6) While the mixture is still warm, add the eggs one at a time and incorporate them thoroughly.
7) Try to remove the excess water from the vegetable mixture and start adding the vegetables to the batter gradually.
8) Mix thoroughly and using a spoon, begin to form individual balls. Place them directly on the baking sheet that you have lined with baking paper.
9) Bake at 220 degrees for approximately 18 minutes.
10) The other option to finish the balls is to simply fry it in boiling oil.
