Recipe for pork slice in cream with peas:
What we will need:
- 600 g pork roast
- salt, spices (strong mixture, I used witch hazel)
- plain flour
- 1 onion
- 1,5 tablespoons lard
- 125 ml cream
- 150 g frozen peas
How we will proceed:
1. Cut the meat into slices, cut the edges, season with salt and pepper, and pat dry. Heat the lard in a frying pan.
2. Coat the slices of meat in flour, place in the pan and fry on both sides. Put the diced onion into the remaining fat and fry it as well.
3. Then put the meat and onions in a pot /I used a saucepan/, slightly cover with boiling water or broth, add more spices, a little salt and simmer. I let it “sizzle” for 25 minutes, then turned it off and let it finish.
4. Then carefully remove the meat and add the cream to the sauce. If the gravy is too thin, whisk some plain flour in the cream first. Finally, add the peas (already thawed), but just let them come to the boil. Season.
5. Serve with bread dumplings. I will choose rice next time, although they didn’t protest at home and liked it with dumplings.
