If you’re looking for inspiration for your weekend coffee or some sweet treats to celebrate, then your search is over! Today we’re going to make delicious chocolate covered coconut cubes together.
The base of this yummy treat is a semi-coarse flour dough, but you can substitute some healthy substitute. This whole dessert is then tossed in a milky coconut topping. After finishing our coconut cubes, they need to set in the fridge for at least 2 hours. But you will enjoy it all the more afterwards.
Chocolate covered coconut cubes:
What we will need:
Dough:
- 200 g semi-coarse flour
- 200 g sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 bag of baking powder
- vanilla flavouring
- 130 g softened butter
Coconut topping:
- 100 g butter
- 250 ml milk
- 65 g cocoa
- 370 g sugar
- 250 g grated coconut
How we will proceed:
1. Start by mixing all the ingredients for the dough. Mix everything thoroughly.
2. Next, prepare a baking tray lined with baking paper and spread the dough evenly. Bake at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes.
3. Continue with the coconut topping. Heat the milk over a low heat.
4. Add the cocoa, butter, sugar and finally the coconut to the warm milk. Stir thoroughly until the mixture thickens. Then set aside.
5. Allow the mixture to cool. Now cut the dough into cubes, dip them in the cocoa mixture and then roll them in the coconut itself.
6. Finally, leave to set in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
Good taste!
