Surprised by a visitor? Instead of complicated starters, prepare them fantastic spinach and cheese puff pastry bags that are quick and easy to prepare. They taste great cold, too, and if you sprinkle them with hard cheese, you’ll be delighted. Here we go!
Spinach and cheese puffs from puff pastry
What we will need:
- 1 packet puff pastry (275 g)
- 40 g fresh spinach
- 1/2 handful parsley
- 1 clove garlic
- 100 g cream cheese
- 150 g feta cheese
- salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste
- 1 handful almonds
- eggs for the third time
- sesame seeds for sprinkling
How we will proceed:
1. Wash the spinach and parsley, pat dry and place in a blender. Peel the garlic and put it in the blender as well. Blend everything into a puree.
2. Add the cream cheese, feta and salt and pepper to taste.
3. Finally, add the almonds and blend once more.
4. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 12 quarters. Place a teaspoon of the prepared filling on each square and shape into a pouch.
5. Place the filled pastry on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for approximately 12 to 15 minutes.
