A delicious recipe for tasty cheesecake snails:

What we will need:

Dough:

  • 350 g plain flour
  • cube of yeast
  • 100 ml milk
  • 50 g sugar
  • 50 g butter
  • 70 g sour cream
  • a pinch of salt

Filling:

  • 500 g cottage cheese
  • is an egg
  • 100 g of sugar

Icing:

  • 200 ml sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

How we will proceed:

1. Start by stirring the yeast into the warm milk, adding half a teaspoon of sugar and 2-3 tablespoons of flour. Let the starter rise, about 30-40 minutes.

2. Continue by mixing all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the butter and also the cream. Mix everything thoroughly.

3. Work the sourdough starter into the remaining ingredients and knead the dough. Let the dough rest for 10-15 minutes. Then knead the dough again. Now cover the dough and leave it in a warm place to rise.

4. Continue with the filling. Mix the cottage cheese, eggs and also the sugar. Mix thoroughly.

5. In the next step, roll out the dough to about 1 cm thick. Spread the filling evenly over the dough and then start rolling. Then cut the roll and start folding it on the baking sheet. Bake at 180-200 degrees until golden brown.

6. In the last step, mix the cream with the sugar. Once the snails are baked, apply the cream and let cool.
