Today we will show you a recipe for a royal apple pie that should not be missed at any celebration. It’s also great with afternoon coffee. Its taste is fantastic and it has a simple preparation that does not take a large amount of time. You will be pleasantly surprised by the result and your whole family will love it
Royal apple pie
What we will need:
For the biscuit:
- 3 eggs
- 4 tablespoons of caster sugar
- 2 tablespoons of plain flour
- 1 tablespoon potato starch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
For the filling:
- 800 g apples
- sugar to taste
- 1 packet of custard powder
For the cream:
- 300 g whipping cream
- 150 sour cream
- cold gelatine thickener
- 3 tablespoons icing sugar
For sprinkling:
- 150 g dark or milk chocolate
How we will proceed:
1. First, whip the egg whites and sugar to snow, then gently fold in the other ingredients for the sponge cake at low speed.
2. Layer the dough on a pre-greased and floured 22 cm diameter baking tray.
3. Bake at 170 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Then let it cool at room temperature.
4. Peel the apples thoroughly and cut them into pieces, which you pour about 3/4 cup of water over and simmer until soft. Finally, thicken them with 1 packet. vanilla pudding powder.
5. Layer the mixture over the cooled dough, smooth it and finally add the cream layer – whip the cream with the sugar and sour cream and finally thicken with the gelatin thickener.
6. All you need to do is drizzle the surface with chocolate before serving.
