Prepare this simple orange dessert that trumps even complicated desserts. If you have puff pastry in the fridge and don’t know what to do with it, try this recipe. The preparation is very easy and the taste is amazing. Make this pie for your friends, they will love it too. So let’s do it.

Pudding dessert

What we will need:

  • 500 g puff pastry
  • 350 ml milk
  • 350 ml orange juice
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g sugar
  • 40 g flour
  • 40 g cornstarch
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • 15 g melted butter to grease the baking tray
  • icing sugar for decoration
  • a baking tin measuring 18 x 26 cm

How we will proceed:

1. First, let’s start preparing the cream: pour 2/3 of the milk and orange juice into a saucepan. Add the starch, flour, sugar and eggs. Stir until smooth.

2. Add the remaining milk and mix again.

3. Place the saucepan on the stove over medium heat and cook the thick cream, stirring constantly.

4. Remove the pot from the heat, add the vanilla sugar and softened butter. Mix everything thoroughly.

5. Let the cream cool and in the meantime, roll out the puff pastry on a floured rolling pin, or use the one already rolled out.

6. Cut the dough in half crosswise.

7. Place half of the puff pastry on a baking sheet previously lined with baking paper.

8. Spread the finished cream evenly over the pastry.

9. Cover the cream layer with the other half of the puff pastry and, if necessary, cut off the excess pastry.

10. Cut into rectangles and brush with melted butter using a silicone brush.

11) Bake the cake for 30 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 ° C.

12. Let it cool, then transfer it to a tray and separate the baking paper.

13. Finally, sprinkle with icing sugar.
