No-bake 3BIT slices – luxurious dessert with Salko, pudding, and whipped cream

When you crave a truly rich, sinfully sweet, melt-in-your-mouth dessert but have no desire to turn on the oven, forget about tedious baking. Say goodbye to boring cakes – these no-bake 3BIT slices with butter biscuits, a luscious vanilla cream with a touch of jelly, honest caramel Salko, fluffy gelatin whipped cream, and grated chocolate are the absolute top, and they’ll disappear from your table in no time. The secret to success lies in perfectly layering the biscuits, a firm vanilla pudding, and letting the dessert rest overnight so the biscuits soften beautifully.

What you’ll need for a pan (approx. 21 x 21 cm):

For the biscuit base and caramel layer:

  • Butter biscuits: about 4 packs (approx. 800 g total, e.g. BeBe or Petržilka)
  • Caramel Salko: 1 can (pre-cooked Salko, or classic white Salko cooked until soft in advance)
  • Dark chocolate: 100 g (for grating and decorating the top)

For the vanilla cream surprise:

  • Whole milk: 500 ml
  • Vanilla pudding powder: 2 packets
  • Lemon jelly powder: 1 packet (for great cream stability)
  • Butter: 250 g (must be at room temperature)

For the fluffy whipped cream layer:

  • Whipping cream (min. 30%): 400 ml (well chilled)
  • Powdered sugar: 3 tablespoons
  • Gelatin powder: 3 tablespoons
  • Water: 100 ml (for blooming the gelatin)

Step-by-step preparation instructions:

1. Preparing the vanilla base with jelly: From 500 ml of milk and two packets of vanilla pudding powder, cook a thick pudding in the usual way. Immediately stir the lemon jelly powder into the hot pudding (prepared according to the instructions on the package or just the dry powder directly into the hot mixture – depending on the type of jelly). Mix thoroughly and let cool completely. Then, in a separate bowl, whip the softened butter until fluffy and gradually beat in the cooled pudding mixture until you get a perfectly smooth cream.

2. Assembling the bottom biscuit layers: Line the bottom of a pan or smaller baking dish (approx. 21 x 21 cm) with foil or baking paper to make it easier to remove the dessert later. Arrange the first layer of butter biscuits on the bottom. Spread the prepared vanilla cream evenly over them and smooth it carefully. Cover the cream with a second layer of biscuits.

3. The caramel heart of the slices: Spread the caramel Salko evenly over the second layer of biscuits (if you have classic white Salko, you need to cook it for about 2 hours in a closed can fully submerged in water, ideally the day before). Place a third layer of biscuits on the sticky caramel layer and let the pan rest in the fridge for a while.

4. Fluffy whipped cream with gelatin: Let the gelatin bloom in 100 ml of cold water, then gently heat it (do not let it boil!) until the crystals dissolve completely. Whip the cream with powdered sugar until stiff. Carefully and gradually pour the lukewarm dissolved gelatin into the stiff whipped cream while constantly mixing, so the cream stays smooth.

5. Finishing, topping, and chilling: Spread the whipped cream evenly over the last layer of biscuits and smooth the surface nicely. Generously sprinkle the top with grated dark chocolate. Place the dessert in the fridge, preferably overnight, so the biscuits fully absorb moisture, soften, and the slices firm up.

Practical kitchen tips for the best result:

  • Lemon jelly in vanilla pudding: Adding jelly to the warm pudding creates an incredibly stable cream that holds its shape beautifully and doesn’t run after chilling.
  • Letting the biscuits soften thoroughly: Let the no-bake 3BIT slices rest in the fridge until the next day – the biscuits will absorb moisture from the creams and you’ll get the texture of a real cake.
  • Preparing caramel in advance: If you’re cooking raw Salko at home in a can, remember it must cool completely before opening, ideally 24 hours in advance.
