We love sweet tiramisu in all ways. It is a favourite among adult treats because it has a whiff of bitter coffee and also bitter cocoa, which give it a wonderful aroma. Today, however, we’re going to show you another tip for tiramisu that is almost effortless and ready in minutes. If you have biscuits at home, be sure to try these quick tiramisu balls, which are so addictive that they disappear before you can put them on the table.
Unbaked tiramisu balls coated in cocoa
What we will need:
- 1 tbsp instant coffee
- 2 tbsp boiling water
- 250 g mascarpone
- 50 g icing sugar
- 1 KL vanilla extract (or a sachet of vanilla sugar)
- 140 g shortbread biscuits
- 30 g cocoa
How we will proceed:
- Pour the coffee into a bowl and cover with boiling water. Stir and leave to cool.
- In a larger bowl, whisk the mascarpone and sugar until smooth and pour in the cooled coffee.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix everything together.
- In a food processor, grind the biscuits to a powder and add them to the cream with the mascarpone. Make a smooth dough and put it in the freezer for 30 minutes.
- Then shape the dough into balls in your hands and roll them in the sifted cocoa.
- Serve the balls immediately or store them in the fridge for later.
