Dessert with chocolate

What we will need:

For the dough:

  • plain flour – 550 g
  • butter – 200 g
  • sugar – 165 g
  • eggs – 2 pcs
  • milk – 3 tablespoons
  • ammonium carbonate – 1 sachet
  • salt – 1 pinch

For the cream:

  • milk – 1 l
  • butter – 200 g
  • corn starch – 90 g
  • sugar – 10 tablespoons
  • icing sugar – 3 tablespoons
  • egg yolks – 3 pcs
  • lemon juice

For the frosting:

  • white chocolate – 100 g
  • milk chocolate – 1 bar
  • whipping cream – 4 tablespoons

How we will proceed:

1. Prepare the dough for the mussels. In a bowl, beat the soft butter with the caster sugar, a pinch of salt and the eggs until foamy. Then add the milk, sift in the plain flour, ammonium carbonate and work all the ingredients into a smooth, non-sticky dough. Cover with a tea towel and leave to rest at room temperature for about twenty minutes.

2. Then divide the rested dough into four equal parts and roll them out one by one on a floured board into sheets.

3. Cut the rolled out dough into rectangles with a knife and place one by one on a large baking tray lined with baking paper.

4. Bake in a preheated oven for about 8 to 10 minutes at 180 °C.

5. While the crusts are baking, start preparing the cream filling. In a saucepan, whisk the egg yolks with the cornstarch and caster sugar.

6. Then pour the milk over the mixture, stir and cook over a low heat until it thickens. Stir the cream regularly with a fork or whisk. Remove the finished pudding from the heat and, while still hot, combine with the butter pieces, icing sugar and lemon juice.

7. Leave to cool completely.

8. Melt the milk chocolate in a water bath and stir it into the whipped cream.

9. Then melt the milk chocolate in another bowl.

10. Spread a third of the cream filling on the first shell, cover with the second shell, spread the cream again, do the same with the third and finish with the fourth shell. Finally, brush the cake with white icing and decorate with milk chocolate and a skewer.

11. When the cake is ready, put it in the fridge to chill and set for at least 24 hours.

How we will proceed:

1. Start simply by washing and cutting the chicken into pieces. Then place them in a baking dish.

2. In a second bowl, whisk the eggs, add the cream and seasonings. Mix thoroughly and pour this mixture over the chicken in the baking dish.

3. Drizzle with olive oil and arrange the chopped tomatoes.

4. Bake at 200 degrees for approximately 30 minutes. We are done! You can serve with mashed potatoes, for example.

Traditional plum balls from potato dough

What we will need:

  • 800 g potatoes
  • 300 g semi-coarse flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 20 pcs smaller plums
  • melted butter to taste, breadcrumbs, poppy seeds, nuts, granco, icing sugar

How we will proceed:

1. Boil the potatoes in their skins. Once cooled, peel and mash or finely grate them.

2. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil.

3. On a work surface, mix the potatoes, flour, eggs and salt. Make a non-sticky dough. Roll it out in sections to about 3 mm and cut out rounds (using a glass or cup) about 6 cm in diameter.

4. Place a sliced and drained plum on each round. Close them and roll them into a ball between the palms of your hands.

5. Cook the balls in salted water until they all float to the surface. Then boil for a few more minutes to ensure the dough is not raw.

6. Serve sprinkled with sugar and topped with toasted breadcrumbs or ground poppy seeds, nuts… and topped with melted butter.

What we will need:

  • 250 g soft cottage cheese
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 lemons (juice)
  • 1 KL worcestershire sauce
  • salt, pepper to taste

How we will proceed:

1. Remove the roots from the spring onions, wash them well and chop them into as small pieces as possible.

2. In a bowl, beat the cottage cheese with the oil, lemon juice, worcestershire sauce and add the chopped spring onions.

3. Taste the spread and season with salt and pepper.

4. Spread on toast or fresh bread and serve with fresh vegetables.

What we will need:

  • 1 slice of gelatine
  • 355 g of plain flour
  • 8 g baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 250 g butter
  • 350 g semolina
  • 4 eggs
  • 240 g sour cream
  • 300 g blueberries
  • 2 lemons
  • 250 g soft semi-fat cottage cheese
  • 100 ml whipping cream (30%)
  • 100 g icing sugar

How we will proceed:

1. Start by letting a slice of gelatin swell in a bowl of cold water. Next, mix together the sifted flour, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, beat the softened butter and 300 g of semolina sugar until foamy. Gradually beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in the flour mixture and sour cream a third at a time.

2. Thoroughly mix 250 g blueberries with lemon zest and 5 g plain flour. Then gently fold into the batter.

3. Spread the batter evenly on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes. Let cool after baking.

4. Blend the rest of the blueberries and add the juice of one lemon to half the quantity. Bring this mixture to a boil. Then set aside and stir in the gelatin.

5. Whisk the cream cheese with the cream, remaining sugar and blueberry gelatin. Mix thoroughly.

6. Once our dough has cooled, we cover it with our cottage cheese-blueberry cream and drizzle with blueberry puree. We can use a skewer to create beautiful ornaments, just like in the picture. Finally, store in the fridge for 30 minutes. We are done!

  • 100 ml water (or coconut water)
  • 150 ml coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup (or other syrup or honey)
  • 8 tbsp Skyr natur
  • fruit, muesli and nuts to taste

How we will proceed:

1. Prepare 4 jars – use resealable jars if you want to take the pudding with you to school or work.

2. Pour water and coconut milk into a sealable container (such as a pickle jar), add maple syrup or honey and chia seeds.

3. Close the jar and shake well. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes and shake again.

4. Pour the contents of the jar evenly into the prepared mugs. Leave to set in the refrigerator, preferably overnight. If after an hour the cream seems too thin, add 1-2 tablespoons of chia seeds.

What we will need:

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 150 ml whole milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 150 g smoked “ostiepok” (or other cheese)
  • 150 oravská bacon
  • 3 spring onions
  • 1 handful of parsley
  • a little salt, ground black pepper

for wrapping:

  • 150 g plain flour
  • 3 pcs eggs
  • 300 g breadcrumbs
  • 600 ml vegetable oil for spreading

How we will proceed:

1. Clean the potatoes, cut them into cubes and boil them in salted water until tender. Drain, add milk, butter, a little salt and mash to a thick mash with small pieces of potato (not completely smooth).

2. Transfer the mash to a larger bowl and let it cool completely.

3. Cut the bacon into small cubes and fry in a frying pan.

4. When the bacon starts to crisp, add the chopped spring onions and let them fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Take them out and let them cool.

5. Grate the parsnip (or cheese) on a coarse grater and chop the parsley finely.

6. When the mashed potatoes are lukewarm, add all the ingredients – bacon and spring onions, grated cheese and parsley. Mix and season with salt and pepper.

7. Place the bowl in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes and later shape the mixture into oblong croquettes.

8. Roll the croquettes in a triple layer (flour, egg, breadcrumbs) and then fry them in hot oil until golden brown (about 3 minutes).

9. Place the croquettes on a plate with a paper towel and serve, for example, with a bowl of garlic dressing.

What we will need:

  • 200 g soft butter
  • 140 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 100 g chopped walnuts
  • 150 g dark chocolate

Ingredients for the chocolate mousse:

  • 300 g milk chocolate
  • 400 ml whipped cream

Ingredients for coffee mousse with mascarpone:

  • 280 ml whipped cream
  • 100 g chopped white chocolate
  • 280 g mascarpone cream cheese
  • 3 tablespoons instant coffee dissolved in 2 tablespoons hot water

Ingredients for the topping:

  • 200 g chopped dark chocolate
  • 200 ml whipped cream
  • 1 tbsp instant coffee

How we will proceed:

1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C and prepare the dough for the casing.

2. In a large bowl, mix the softened butter and sugar. Add the eggs and mix thoroughly with a fork until you reach a smooth consistency.

3. Melt the chocolate in the microwave or in a water bath on the stove, let it cool slightly (but not too much so it doesn’t harden) and add it to the butter and egg base. Mix until smooth and add the finely chopped walnuts. Mix again.

4. Grease a baking dish or cake tin and line the base with baking paper. Pour in the prepared batter and bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, until the surface is firm but not too dry. Remove from the oven and allow to cool to room temperature.

5. In a saucepan over a low heat, bring 300ml of whipping cream to the boil, but be careful not to let it boil. Add the chocolate and wait until it starts to melt. Then set aside and stir well. This is how you get the chocolate cream called ganache. Let the cream cool completely. Then whip the rest of the whipped cream to a stiff froth and gently fold in the chocolate cream. Spread this mixture evenly over the baked and cooled cake and leave to cool until firm.

6. While the chocolate mousse is setting on the cake, prepare the coffee mascarpone mousse.

7. Bring the whipping cream to the boil and melt the white chocolate in it. When it starts to melt, stir the mixture and let it cool for 1 hour. Mix the mascarpone cream cheese with the chocolate whipped cream and melted coffee and chill again in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

8. After an hour, remove the cream from the fridge and stir.

9. Brush the chocolate mousse on top of the cone with the cream and return to the fridge to chill and set.

10. In a saucepan, bring the whipping cream to the boil along with the instant coffee and add the chocolate, which will melt, and stir. Stir gently so as not to whisk the mixture. Pour the prepared icing over the surface of the cake and refrigerate for several hours, preferably overnight, to allow the ingredients to melt and set well.

Chicken pieces prepared Chinese style with rice

What we will need:

  • 500 grams of chicken breast
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup corn flour
  • 1 egg white
  • small piece of fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Hoisen sauce
  • 1 and ½ tablespoons sesame oil
  • small handful of sesame seeds

How we will proceed:

1. First, clean the chicken breasts and cut them into smaller pieces. Then place them in a bowl and season with soy sauce (2 tbsp), cornflour (3 tbsp) and add egg white. Mix everything well with a spoon and leave to marinate for a few minutes. Meanwhile, peel the garlic and onion and chop both finely. Peel the ginger and grate it finely.

2. Then fry these ingredients in hot sesame oil (1 tsp). When the garlic, onion and ginger turn golden brown, add the chicken pieces to the mixture and fry them together with the spices and Hoisen sauce. Mix well and add more cornflour. Cook the meat mixture for a few minutes, stirring constantly, until it thickens completely.

What we will need:

  • 2 packs of baby biscuits (cocoa and vanilla)
  • 1 peach compote
  • 1 litre of whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons icing sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • chocolate chips

How we will proceed:

1. First, prepare the whipped cream. Whip the cream until stiff and gradually stir in the icing sugar. You can also use a whipping cream thickener to make the filling really thick.

2. Take a round cake tin and line the bottom with cocoa biscuits. Drizzle some of the peach compote juice over these and spread with a third of the cream filling.

3. Layer the vanilla biscuits on top of the evenly spread cream, drizzle with the peach juice, spread the peach slices and spread the cream layer again.

4. Repeat this process until you have used all the cream.

5. This should be the last layer. Sprinkle the chocolate crumb topping over the cake and chill the cake in the fridge for a few hours to allow the cookies to soak up the filling and soften.

What we will need:

  • 3 smoked chicken thighs
  • 6 medium potatoes
  • slices of English bacon
  • 1 onion
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 red pepper
  • salt, pepper, your favourite spices
  • 3 slices of butter
  • lard to grease the baking dish
  • grated cheese of your choice

How we will proceed:

1. Cut the bacon and red peppers into strips, the onion into halves, and the garlic into slices. Scrape the potatoes and cut them into thin slices.

2. Grease a baking dish with lard and stick the bacon strips on the bottom and sides.

3. Place a layer of sliced potatoes on top of the bacon, season with salt and your favorite spices (I used Argentine). I had leftover lentils from a jar in the fridge, I mixed that with a little cream and spread half of that mixture on the potatoes. Put the first half of chopped onions, peppers, garlic … second layer again potatoes and repeat. I put chicken thighs on top, a slice of butter on each thigh and put them in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for an hour and a half.

4.  At the end of baking I sprinkled grated cheese (it doesn’t have to be, but I had some left over from risotto so I used it that way). Bake uncovered … We wish you a good taste.

  • 250 g sugar
  • 200 g soft butter/margarine
  • 5,5 dcl milk
  • 6-8 tablespoons cocoa
  • 250 g plain flour + 3 tbsp plain flour
  • 1 packet (12 g) baking powder
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 150 g icing sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons of rum
  • 3 dcl whipping cream
  • 1-2 thickeners (10 g packets)

How we will proceed:

1. Mix the dough with all the ingredients: mix the flour with the baking powder, cocoa, add the whole eggs, milk, sugar, butter and mix well.

2. Line a baking tray with baking paper (approx. 23 x 38 cm) and bake the dough for 20 to 25 minutes at 180 °C.

3. Remove the baked dough from the baking sheet onto a floured surface and cut in half when cool.

4. Dissolve the flour in a little milk.

5. Heat the remaining milk and slowly add it to the flour mixture, then cook over a low heat until the mixture has thickened completely.

6. Remove from the heat and allow to cool completely.

7. Mix the melted butter with the sugar, cocoa, rum and egg yolks.

8. Combine the flour mixture with the cocoa mixture and mix well.

9. Brush the bottom of the pastry with two-thirds of the cream and place the other part on top.

10. Spread the rest of the cream on top.

11. Finally, sprinkle with grated chocolate and chill in the fridge until firm.

Prepare this delicacy and you will see that you will not regret it. The recipe is quite simple, and if you don’t feel like it, below you will find a video with the preparation of this delicacy.

Cocoa slices with a creamy filling:

What we will need:

For the dough:

  • flour – 80 g
  • sugar – 80 g
  • kefir – 65 ml
  • oil – 30 g
  • starch – 25 g
  • cocoa – 15 g
  • baking powder – 3 g
  • eggs – 2 pcs

For the cream:

  • whipping cream 33% – 140 ml
  • condensed milk – 60 g

For the frosting:

  • dark chocolate – 40 g
  • milk chocolate – 40 g
  • milk – 50 g
  • butter – 30 g

How we will proceed:

1. Sift the flour, cocoa, cornstarch and baking powder into a bowl and mix everything together. In another bowl, crack two eggs, sprinkle them with sugar and beat both with an electric beater until soft and foamy.

2. While whisking, add 30 g vegetable oil and 65 g room temperature kefir. When you have a homogeneous mass, add the sifted dry ingredients and mix well.

3. Pour the batter onto a baking tray (20 x 30 cm) lined with baking paper. Spread the dough over the entire surface of the baking tray.

4. Place in an oven preheated to 180 °C and bake for 10 minutes.

5 Let the dough cool and bang it several times on the work surface. This will make it easier for you to get out

6. Pour the whipping cream into a bowl and beat with an electric beater until it reaches a medium foam. Then add the condensed milk and continue beating until the mixture is firm enough. At this point, the cake should have cooled to room temperature. Carefully turn it out onto a work surface, peel off the baking paper and use a pizza cutter to cut it in half crosswise to make two equal sized rectangles.

7. Place one rectangle of dough on the baking sheet and line the edges with pieces of baking paper. Spread a full portion of the cream mixture on top, cover with the other rectangle of dough and refrigerate. Heat the milk and butter in a saucepan and when the butter has melted, add the broken chocolate to the mixture. Stir until a smooth and glossy frosting is formed. Remove from the fridge, pour the chocolate over the top and spread it over the sides as well.

8. Place the treat in the freezer for 20 minutes.
