What we will need:

  • 30 dkg of plain flour
  • 10 dkg icing sugar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 7 dkg butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Walnut biscuit:

  • 6 eggs
  • 15 dkg sugar
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 0,5 dl oil
  • 15 dkg of plain flour
  • 1/2 packet of flour. Baking powder
  • 10 dkg ground nuts

Cream:

  • 3 egg yolks
  • 15 dkg semolina sugar
  • 2 packets. vanilla pudding
  • 7 dl milk
  • 10 dkg icing sugar
  • 25 dkg butter

How we will proceed:

1. For the honey dough, mix all ingredients, adding more flour if needed. The dough should be malleable. Roll out into two sheets and bake each one on an inverted baking sheet (25 x 35 cm) at 180 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

2. Divide the eggs for the sponge into whites and yolks. Beat the egg yolks with 10 dkg of sugar, water, oil and nuts. Beat the egg whites with the remaining sugar until foamy. Gently stir the flour and baking powder into the nut mixture – just mix with your hands. Bake on the same baking sheet you used to bake the baking sheets on the reverse side. Bake at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes.

3. Cream: Mix the egg yolks with the sugar, milk and custard powder. From this mixture, cook the custard on the heat and let it cool. Whisk the butter with the icing sugar and add to the cooled cream. Divide the cream in two and leave some of the cream on top.

4. Assemble the dessert: honeycomb, custard, walnut sponge, custard, honeycomb. Spread the cream on top. You can still spread the nuts in sugar on top. Mix 10 kg of walnuts with 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon of icing sugar. You can also sprinkle with chopped nuts, chocolate shavings, cocoa or a simple glaze.

  • 7 tablespoons sugar

  • 1 kg apples
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • lemon juice

How we will proceed:

1. Start by sifting the flour. Next, add the baking powder, butter, sugar, salt and warm water. Mix everything thoroughly to form a smooth and fluffy dough. Place the mixture in the fridge for 15 minutes.

2. After 15 minutes, take out and divide the dough into 3 equal parts.

3. Next, prepare the pudding as you know it. Continue with the apples, which you peel and grate. Mix them with the lemon juice and cook on low heat for about 2-3 minutes.

4. Roll out the dough. Place the first part on a baking sheet that you have lined with baking paper. Place the apple mixture on top of the dough and then place the sheet of dough on top of the mixture again. Then place the vanilla cream on top of the dough and cover with the last sheet of dough.

5. Bake at 180 degrees for approximately 40 minutes. Finally, decorate with icing sugar.

  • 200 g semolina sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 500 ml water
  • juice of one lemon

How we will proceed:

1. Peel, grate and place the apples in a saucepan with the sugar and 100 ml of water. Stir the pudding into the remaining water.

It dries to a hard consistency and its production involves that wonderfully messy part (the “matting” of the paper) that children love. For this reason, don’t forget to involve the littlest members of the family in this creative activity!

You will be surprised at the results of the paper maché technique! The clay is easy to paint, so you can add spring patterns and bright colours to your finished product! One of the options on offer is to make an Easter egg, rabbit or chick, for example! Whatever your age, this creation is one of the best creative arts, so don’t hesitate to give it a try!

In the following procedure you will learn how to make a basic papier mache from which you can create anything you can think of.

3 simple steps:

1. Cut newspapers into strips or put unused paper in the shredder!

2. Make a liquid mixture to soak the paper in with liquid glue and water (2:1). Stir until the paste is smooth. If the consistency is runny, add glue; if it is too thick, thin it with water.

3. Choose a substrate to be glued (e.g. an inflatable balloon, a sculpted cardboard statue, etc.) and wrap it with the paper dipped in the mixture piece by piece. When you have finished 3 layers, let it dry (about a day).

  • 1 small Cremosso yoghurt (any creamy yoghurt can be substituted)
  • 1 vanilla Danette dessert (again, can be replaced by any vanilla pudding)
  • 150 g white chocolate
  • 300 ml cream
  • 30 g gelatine
  • 200 ml water

Dark cream:

  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 small Cremosso yoghurt (can be replaced by any creamy yoghurt)
  • 1 chocolate Danette dessert (can be replaced by any chocolate pudding)
  • 150 g dark chocolate
  • 300 ml cream
  • 30 g gelatine
  • 200 ml water

For frosting:

  • Whole milk chocolate
  • Whole white chocolate

How we will proceed:

1. Whip the egg whites into stiff peaks. Then whisk the sugar with the egg yolks. Add the remaining ingredients and whisk to form a dough, then carefully fold in the beaten egg white. Place the dough on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Before placing the paper, line the entire tin around the edges with cling film. The dessert will then be easier to handle. Bake according to oven experience and test with a skewer.

2. Let the finished cake cool.

3. Now prepare the light cream. Dissolve the gelatine in 200 ml of cold water. Whisk in the cream. Whip the egg whites and sugar into a stiff cream. Then mix the Cremosso yoghurt, the vanilla Danette dessert and the white chocolate melted in a water bath. Mix, add the whipped cream and finally gently fold in the cream. Finally, add 2-3 tablespoons of cream to the gelatin, mix well and add the rest of the cream.

4. Immediately pile the cream on top of the cake and cover it with cling film.

5. Store the dark cream in the refrigerator and prepare in the same way.

6. Dissolve the gelatine in 200 ml of cold water. Whisk in the cream. Whip the egg whites and sugar into a stiff cream. Then mix the Cremosso yoghurt, the Danette chocolate dessert and the dark chocolate melted in a water bath. Mix, add the whipped cream and finally gently fold in the cream. Finally, add 2-3 tablespoons of cream to the gelatin, mix well and add the rest of the cream.

7. Remove the dessert from the fridge and spread the dark cream on top of the light layer. Smooth it nicely. At this stage, refrigerate the cake for 5 hours. Only then make the icing. It’s up to you what decor you choose. In this case, we melted white chocolate and spread it all over the dark cream.

8. Then we melted the dark chocolate and used a spoon to make a lattice. You can also choose irregular patterns.

How we will proceed:

1. Put the water, yeast, flour and egg in a bowl and mix everything thoroughly.
Then add just a pinch of salt and flour if needed to the mixture.

2. Work out the dough, which should have a smooth and elastic consistency.

3. Let the dough rest under a towel in a warm place for about 45 minutes.

4. Then take the dough out onto a floured surface, roll it out and cut out circles the size of a cup or glass.

5. Then choose a filling of your choice for the centre of each circle and shape into a ball.

6. Once your buns are done, let them rest under a tea towel for another 10 minutes.

7. Steaming is the best way to prepare these buns. Pour water into a saucepan, bring it to the boil and place a tea towel over the saucepan and crimp it tightly. Then just place the finished buns on the towel and cover them with the lid. You should steam for about 10 minutes.

8. Once the buns are off the steam, pierce them with a toothpick and serve.

Unbaked honey-nut balls

What we will need:

For approximately 60 balls we need:

  • 300 g gingerbread for grating or gingerbread cookies of your own making
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 Salko caramel
  • 200 g butter
  • 80 g walnuts
  • ground nuts and grated gingerbread for coating

How we will proceed:

1. Grate or blend the gingerbread.

2. If you can only get plain Salko, boil the tin for 2 hours in water.

3. Mix the grated gingerbread (remove a little and leave it for coating) and salko, add softened butter, honey and ground nuts and process thoroughly.

4. Add nuts and honey as needed.

5. Wrap the dough in cling film and leave in the fridge for a few hours to set.

6. Then shape the dough into balls and roll them in a mixture of ground nuts mixed with the grated (ground) gingerbread residue.

7. Let the balls rest and store in the refrigerator.

Quick pie with bacon and asparagus

What we will need:

  • 3 eggs
  • 150 ml milk
  • 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt to taste, ground black pepper, ground sweet paprika
  • 1 KL lemon zest
  • 5 tbsp plain flour
  • 1/2 bunch green asparagus
  • 70 g Orava bacon
  • a little oil

How we will proceed:

1. Preheat the oven to 220 °C.

2. Beat the eggs in a large bowl, pour in the milk and add the Parmesan cheese.

3. Whisk everything together and season the mixture with salt, pepper, ground paprika and lemon zest. Whisk again.

4. Finally, add the flour and make a liquid dough, which you set aside for the time being.

5. Cut off the bottom woody parts of the asparagus and cut the rest into pieces about a centimetre long. Cut the bacon into small cubes. Heat about a tablespoon of oil in a frying pan (suitable for the oven), add the bacon pieces and fry them until golden brown.

6. Later, add the asparagus, which will not need more than a minute of browning, and then pour the prepared batter evenly over everything.

7. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 to 12 minutes, until the pie is beautifully golden.

8. The beautifully puffed cake gradually loses volume when removed from the oven, but it loses none of its fantastic flavour.

Recipe for a very tasty dessert Sand Bourie:

What we will need:

  • 1 packet of biscuits (400 g)

Cream:

  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 260 g soft butter
  • 2 cups milk powder
  • 400 g Nutella
  • 150 g walnuts/hazelnuts

Top:

  • 100 g white chocolate
  • 100 g butter

How we will proceed:

1. Toast the nuts in a dry pan, then place them on a tea towel and remove the skins.

2. Heat the milk and sugar until the sugar has completely dissolved, then cool it.

3. Mix the soft butter thoroughly.

4. Gradually and alternately add the cooled milk and milk powder to the softened butter. Stir until a smooth, uniform cream is formed.

5. Place a layer of biscuits on the bottom of a baking tray covered with baking paper.

6. Spread half of the cream over the top and add another layer of biscuits.

7. Add Nutella to the rest of the cream and mix thoroughly.

8. Fold in the crushed nuts and stir in the cream with a spoon.

9. Spread the finished chocolate cream over the biscuits.

11. Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the broken chocolate and heat over a low heat until a smooth, even glaze forms.

12. Brush the biscuits, still warm, with the glaze. You can additionally decorate the cake with dark icing.

  • 300 g frozen peas
  • 2 pcs potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 shallot (or ½ onion)
  • 1 litre vegetable stock
  • 1 handful of parsley
  • salt, ground black pepper, mint to taste

How we will proceed:

1. Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the chopped shallots and fry until golden.

2. Add the peas to the onions, add the diced potatoes, pour in the stock and cook everything together until soft, about 20 minutes.

3. In the meantime, toast the bread in a dry frying pan until golden brown and spread each toast with a clove of garlic and a layer of goat’s cheese.

4. Remove the soup from the heat, blend with an immersion blender until creamy, season with salt and pepper. Finally, stir in the chopped parsley and fresh mint to taste.

5. Serve the prepared garlic toast and cheese with the hot soup.
